Na Saat Primary School

Here are our beloved P3-P5 classes! Every morning, we will arrive at Na' Saat Primary School to teach English. We had a total of 5 English classes with them. Our programme's aim was to make sure they know their ABCs, and a few simple English phrases by the end of the 5 lessons.

Our talented English team made an ABC exercise book from scratch for the kids. They were very happy to see their book (as much as we were to give it to them!) and couldn't wait to start tracing the alphabets in the exercise book.

Teaching English was not as simple as we thought, due to the language barrier, and the kids' short attention span. Our class hours were long, and it was not easy to maintain their enthusiasm. However, our team improvised and thought of new ways to keep them interested in learning. Using games and drawings really helped to keep the kids excited and motivated to learn more.

We brought the P5 kids to the zoo on a Sunday, to allow them to practice the new English words they have learnt so far (mostly on animals). It was a good way to check if they remembered what they have learnt in class, and also if they were able to apply it to an actual setting. Luckily for us, most of them could remember what they've learnt fairly well :)
On our last English lesson, we got the kids to draw their favourite animal on a paper plate to make a mask. This pretty much caused mayhem as the P3 kids started drawing on our members faces too! But they had so much fun in the process it brought us much joy and laughter. Draw all you want kiddos :)
As our English lessons came to an end, we felt bittersweet as we had to leave our kids very soon. Hopefully when we come back in the future, you guys will still remember the English we have taught you! POP GAN MAI kids~ Grow up healthy and well! :')
